Man dies after vehicle plunges into 30m ravine in Tawau


Firefighters trekked 30 metres down a ravine at Mile 38, Jalan Kalabakan, in Tawau on Wednesday morning (March 12) to retrieve the victim.

KOTA KINABALU: A man was killed after his vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a 30m-deep ravine at Mile 38, Jalan Kalabakan, in Tawau, Wednesday (March 12) morning.

Firefighters from the Tawau Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene, located 165km away, after receiving an emergency call at 9.10am.
