Patchy roadworks making Puchong gridlock worse

Pothole and shoddy patchwork spotted on Jalan Puchong.

I want to highlight the traffic congestion caused by ongoing construction along Jalan Puchong in Selangor.

It affects a stretch from the intersection with Jalan Kelang Lama all the way to the army camp entrance in Bandar Kinrara.

Bad road conditions along with traffic snarls compounded by poorly designed road dividers and road signs are the norm along this route.

The problem is made worse by patchy work left by contractors on the road, after laying down utility lines and pipes.

As a Malaysian, I just want to know how the authorities can approve so many projects which are badly affecting traffic flow in the mornings and evenings.

What is the Public Works Department (JKR) doing?

Just imagine how much more additional traffic there will be on the route in the coming months (due to new developments).

I am pretty sure the traffic Level of Service (LOS) currently is about E or F.

LOS refers to traffic flow, designated by letter grades from A (free flow) to F (near gridlock).

I don’t see the authorities doing anything to improve the road condition.

Please don’t just keep building and neglect the public for the sake of development.

All those responsible must take pride in fixing the problem.
