GIANT fruits, colourful orchids, live fish and animals were among the sights that drew visitors to the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA 2026) in Serdang, Selangor.
The 10-day showcase at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) highlighted a mix of innovation and tradition.
Robotic farming equipment, vertical farms and smart sensors gave a glimpse into the high-tech future of agriculture.
A few steps away, things became more rustic with fresh produce and food stalls serving familiar favourites such as satay, laksa and kuih.
The various states’ pavilions added another splash of colour, each bringing its own food, culture and character.
Visitors stopped to watch live cooking demonstrations, browse produce markets or enjoy the sights at the floating market.
Other attractions were virtual reality displays, petting zoo, Agro Safari aquaculture tanks and tropical produce.
Meanwhile, the Biggest Produce Competition featured oversized watermelons, durian, jackfruits and papayas.
