THE Kita Selangor Voucher initiative is not open for public applications as yet.
Targeted recipients have been identified based on data and lists provided by the relevant agencies, said the Selangor State Secretary's Office corporate division in a statement.
"Eligible recipients will receive short message service (SMS) notifications in stages beginning this June 23, enabling them to verify their information and submit applications through the Kita Selangor Voucher portal, together with the required supporting documents."
Recipient groups include households living in poverty listed in the eKasih database, workers who have lost their jobs, vulnerable individuals registered with the Social Welfare Department and single mothers who meet the specified eligibility criteria.
It was reported that a total of 50,000 low-income families in Selangor will receive cash aid of RM100 a month for six months under the Kita Selangor Voucher initiative.
It is part of the RM140mil Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package Phase 1 unveiled on April 16 to help residents cope with global economic uncertainty and rising living costs.
The state government also reminded the public to remain vigilant against any SMs or communications containing suspicious links and not to click on links received from unauthorised sources.
