Free parking at all facilities under the Ipoh City Council (MBI) and complimentary boat rides at the Gunung Lang Recreational Park are being offered in conjunction with Ipoh’s 38th city anniversary celebration.
In a statement, MBI said parking charges would be waived for three days from June 19 to 21, while a 50% reduction on traffic offence compounds would be offered from June 18 to July 18.
“Free boat ride tickets at the Gunung Lang recreational area will also be provided for three days from June 22 to 24,” said MBI.
The public would also be able to use facilities at the MBI Sports Complex free of charge for three consecutive days beginning June 19.
A sales carnival will be held at selected supermarkets around Ipoh from June 26 to July 3.
Bernama reported that the celebration would be launched at the Ipoh Convention Centre on June 18.
Activities lined up for the occasion included a run, religious talks, carnivals, a colloquium, Rahmah sales and pop-up market.
