A casual night run after the break of fast brought together over 800 participants at Padang Polo in Ipoh, Perak.

Ipoh Moreh Run 2026 was aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle while strengthening social bonds, said organiser The Bulatan Runners Community Running Club.

Its president Nazrul Zaim Nazlan said, “We hope it will continue to grow as a community event that brings people together through healthy and relaxing recreational activities throughout Ramadan.”

Ipoh City Council chief whip Mazlan Abd Rahman, who launched the 10pm run, hopes such initiatives will help foster a stronger sense of togetherness among Ipoh residents while also promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

“Besides the casual run, participants also had the opportunity to take part in various side activities, including community interaction sessions, lucky draw and moreh (supper) prepared by the organisers as a symbol of togetherness after the run,” he said when met by Bernama.

The event saw participation from local groups like The Polo Runners, Bagirun Club, Runners Tanpa Sempadan and Sahabat Senaman Santai.
