Hotspots abuzz with holiday fun

THERE is no better time to venture out and explore holiday destinations in Malaysia than during the school break.

In the Klang Valley, families were seen heading to exciting and educational attractions like Zoo Negara, Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park and Kuala Lumpur Bird Park.

School holiday programmes such as at the National Science Centre as well as the 23-day extravaganza organised by Muzium Negara promoting contests, DIY creativity and traditional games were equally popular with parents and children.

Many holiday-makers headed to heritage zones and seaside promenades like in Penang, and some chose to cool off at the Penang City Park pool.

Others made full use of the time to experience nature, picnicking, hiking or even fishing in a local stream.
