Fake version of Subang Jaya flyover news report circulated on WhatsApp


PETALING JAYA: Star Media Group Bhd (SMG), which publishes The Star print products and online portal, refers to a message circulating on WhatsApp about a flyover project in Subang Jaya.

The text titled 'Mixed reactions to MBSJ flyover plan' appears to have been edited to include made-up quotes which were not found in the original article published on our website.

The fake report also carried the byline of StarMetro journalist Sheila Sri Priya, who wrote the actual story.

The group wishes to clarify that this article is not affiliated with The Star in any way.

The aforementioned tampered-with article, as well as similar iterations and others like it, is not by The Star.
