‘Increase women’s quota to 30% at state assembly’

A PROPOSAL has been made to increase female representation in the Selangor State Assembly to 30% to ensure a stronger voice in decision making.

The state assembly currently has just nine female representatives out of 56 (16%), said Selangor women empowerment and welfare committee chairman Anfaal Saari.
