A fun day in the sun drew over 1,000 people to the Banting beachside for “Kita X Pesta Kelaut@Pantai Kelanang 2025”.
Held for the second time since 2023, the event organised by Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) was graced by Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
Among the activities were 3km and 5km fun runs, flagged off by Sultan Sharafuddin with Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari by his side.
Visitors also took part in a cooking competition as well as games such as pillow fight, greasy pole climb, coconut bowling, and tug of war, with prizes amounting to more than RM20,000.

There were also booths by government agencies, non-governmental organisations and Orang Asli community, while Suria FM was the official media partner.
The one-day event ended at 8pm with performances by Khalifah, Malaya Boy Band and Wak Mustar.
MPKL in a media statement said the festival was aimed at promoting unity and domestic tourism.
“The collaboration between MPKL, the government and private sectors on this programme can promote Kuala Langat as a tourism destination,” it said.
