VISITORS have the opportunity to experience Malaysia’s vibrant heritage right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur this National Month.

The “Rasa Sayang Malaysia” showcase is under the ticketed PETRONAS Twin Towers Sky Xperience on weekends.

It presents the country’s heritage through food, music, dance and traditional games.

The event at Level 83 of the towers is an opportunity for visitors to experience cultural activities such as batu seremban games as well as traditional dances such as joget, bhangra and sumazau.

The Sky Lobby at concourse level features a feast of regional kuih-muih and live roti canai demonstrations.

An Australian tourist, who only wanted to be known as Tony and who was visiting with his wife, said the regional treats were a cultural delight.

“It’s our first time trying these and we had never even heard about them. All of them are so tasty.

“The flavour profiles are very different from what we have back home,” he said.

Visitors will also find breathtaking city views from the Sky Bridge on Level 41 and Sky Deck on Level 86.

Meanwhile, Petrosains The Discovery Centre has science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-inspired activities.

Under its ‘Sapot Lokal’ campaign, it highlights Malaysian innovation, creativity and products by offering special science shows, workshops and retail offerings.

Petrosains chief executive officer Ezarisma Azni Mohamad said the celebration reflected their commitment to sharing Malaysian pride with the world.

“We are honoured to offer experiences that bridge cultural understanding and global appreciation,” he said.

“Rasa Sayang Malaysia” runs on Sept 6 and 7, and Sept 13 to 16, while activities at Petrosains will continue until Sept 21. — By ASHIQIN AHMAD
