PENGURUSAN Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) won one gold and two silver awards across different categories at the PR Awards 2025, held earlier this month at a hotel in Singapore.

Air Selangor secured a gold award in the Best CSR Communications category for its “Sesama Mara” campaign while the two silver awards were for the Best PR Campaign: Government/ Public Services category for its Tariff Adjustment Communication Plan campaign and Best Use of Social Media for Crisis Communications category for its Emergency Response Plan (ERP) campaign.

The “Sesama Mara” campaign highlights Air Selangor’s commitment to grassroots impact and community-first values.

Anchored in meaningful collaboration, the campaign reached over 1,800 families, supported 19 welfare homes and empowered 240 students from underserved communities through a targeted educational programme, with Air Selangor employees contributing more than 720 volunteer hours.

Amplified through digital storytelling, “Sesama Mara” stood out for its wide-reaching social impact and inclusive engagement approach.

Air Selangor corporate communication head Elina Baseri said: “These awards are a recognition of our efforts in delivering clear and effective messages to the public, especially our consumers.

“Every communication we curate is guided by one key principle – putting our consumers’ best interests at the forefront.

“We will continue to strengthen our communication strategies, ensuring they remain transparent, relevant and create a meaningful impact for our consumers.”

Being recognised alongside established brands such as DHL, McDonald’s, Foodpanda, Unilever, Grab and DBS Bank, she said was an honour that affirmed the credibility of Air Selangor’s communication efforts.

“It also reflects our broader commitment to providing clean and safe treated water to 9.62 million consumers in Selangor, Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur and our continued progress towards becoming the leading water services provider in Asia by 2030,” said Elina.

The PR Awards 2025 celebrates outstanding achievements in the communications and public relations industry in South-East Asia, South Asia and Oceania, celebrating campaigns that demonstrate excellence in various public relations disciplines.

Submissions are judged by an independent panel of industry leaders and communications experts.
