Festive feasts to bring good fortune for Chinese New Year

THE Chinese restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is showcasing a wide array of dining options this Chinese New Year.

Lai Po Heen has set menus, a la carte options, poon choy and a selection of yee sang platters to usher in prosperity and happiness until Feb 12.

Three set menus are available, priced at RM2,988+ or RM3,688 for a table of 10, and RM468.80 per person for an individually portioned menu with a minimum of two diners.

The yee sang menu offers five options, such as Yee Sang with Butter Fish, Salmon Fish, Tuna Fish and Chuka Hotate; Yee Sang with Fish Skin and Shredded Treasures Fruits; Yee Sang with Australian Abalone and Yee Sang with Sea Urchin and Tobiko.

All of the yee sang options can be ordered in half or full portions, except for the Yee Sang with Australian Lobster and Caviar that is available in full portions only.

Prices start from RM98+ for a half portion and RM168+ for a full portion.

Poon choy (treasure pot) is available exclusively for takeaway, ideal for those who want to elevate their celebrations at home.

The Chinese New Year Treasure Pot is priced at RM1,588+, while the Chinese New Year Supreme Treasure Pot is at RM3,318+.

A 48-hour advance order is required. Each order includes complimentary yee sang.

Lounge On The Park is serving a Chinese New Year Afternoon Tea priced at RM118nett per person that includes sweet treats such as Macaroon Yuzu, Strawberry Lychee Choux, Passionfruit Mango Medley Lucky Bag and Fiery Caprese Firecracker.

The savoury platter offers Honey-glazed Barbecued Chicken in Brioche, Prawn Salted Egg with Mantou, Black Pepper Minced Beef in Beetroot Bread and Wok-fried Assorted Mushrooms with Truffle in White Toast.
