EXQUISITE dresses crafted by couture house The Atelier Malaysia took centre stage in a showcase in Kuala Lumpur.

Twenty models walked the runway in 40 pieces from the Summer/Spring 2024 collection titled “The Light Within” during their fashion show in a hotel in the capital city.

The collection was also presented as a ready-to-wear line.

Under the creative direction of Malaysian-born shoe designer Datuk Jimmy Choo, the design team unveiled its craftsmanship skills and expertise in corsetry, lacework and beading.

There were stylish day dresses as well as romantic and dramatic evening gowns designed for the woman who seeks a versatile and fashion-forward wardrobe.

The collection also featured textures like tweed and velvet as well as bold detailing and oversized buttons and bows.

Choo said the collection was inspired by the universe, sky, stars and moon.

“These garments are inspired by the pursuit of light – its beauty and profundity, how we mourn its absence and embrace its symbolism as a creator of life and hope.

“Delicate, romantic shapes give an impression of supreme lightness while the sophisticated construction and artistry of the designs bring out both the sense of light and the strength of passion within every woman.

“The dresses will make women feel like princesses or film stars.”
