Flood alert for LDP: Water level reaches 3.156m, says MBSJ


A flood alert has been issued along the Damansara-Puchong expressway (LDP) near IOI Mall Puchong as water levels reached 3.156m as of 6.55pm.

According to MBSJ's flood alert system, Persimpangan Persiaran Kewajipan and Perpaduan, USJ13 showed a yellow warning reaching 2.475m and Persimpangan Persiaran Kewajipan and Tujuan USJ9 showed "cautious" levels at the same time.

According to the flood alert system of the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ), the intersection of Persiaran Kewajipan and Perpaduan, USJ13, is under a yellow warning as the water level reaches 2.475m.

Simultaneously, the intersection of Persiaran Kewajipan and Tujuan, USJ9, is marked as "cautious" indicating the rise of water levels.

Following a series of flash floods including a recent incident which saw the carpark and lower floors of a shopping mall submerged under 0.3m of water, Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) opened their flood alert systems (https://shorturl.at/gpzY6) to the public.

Deputy mayor Zulkurnain Che Ali has previously advised road users to monitor the system before travelling, especially on the LDP.
