Batu Pahat farmers rue loss of crops to seawater

ABOUT 80 farmers in Kampung Sungai Suloh and Kampung Bukit Kelicap in Batu Pahat, Johor, say they have lost millions of ringgit as their crops are covered in seawater for most of the year.

Mazlan Ithnin said this happened after the embankment in their villages was damaged in 2018, affecting crops such as coconut and oil palm.
