50,000 bottles of chicken essence to be given away to motorists

AS Malaysians take advantage of the long weekend to travel, road safety becomes a major consideration, especially during the festive period.

Thus, Brands Essence of Chicken has partnered PLUS Malaysia Bhd to launch a safety campaign, to promote safe driving practices and encourage motorists to remain alert while on the road.

The highway concessionaire’s patrol unit, PLUSRonda, plays a crucial role in ensuring motorists have a safe journey.

As the PLUSRonda officers work round the clock, Brand’s is providing its Essence of Chicken product to officers to help reduce physical fatigue as they conduct patrols during Ramadan and the Hari Raya period.

PLUS Malaysia senior general manager operations Mohd Yusuf Abdul Aziz said: “We are happy to be able to partner with Brand’s Essence of Chicken. It not only appreciates the tireless efforts of PLUSRonda but also promotes safe driving practices among the public.

“It is important to remind drivers to practise road safety and not place the lives of other road users at risk.”

Brand’s is also giving away 50,000 bottles to PLUS highway users at selected R&Rs and through the PLUSRonda.

Motorists can grab a bottle at these PLUS R&R stops: Sungai Buloh Northbound (today), Seremban Northbound (April 24) and Pagoh Northbound (April 30).

Suntory Beverage and Food Malaysia marketing director Rodney Tan said: “It is a privilege for us to collaborate with PLUS as we see the importance of giving back to the community and working collaboratively to promote road safety.

“With the PLUSRonda team being on the road all the time, Brand’s can help provide energy and focus.

“We understand the importance of staying alert while driving, especially when covering long distances,” he said.

Both PLUS and Brand’s Facebook pages will be posting traffic and travel time advisories for motorists’ reference.
