Lifts planned for all train stations

Transport Ministry is looking to have lifts installed at all KTM Bhd (KTM) stations to encourage the elderly, pregnant women and people with disabilities to use public transport.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the number of passengers for the KTM Komuter from Butterworth in Penang to Padang Besar, Perlis, had increased by seven percent since trip frequency was increased on Feb 18.
