Auspicious treats to usher in Year of the Water Rabbit

Waxed Meat Rice in Claypot is another dish available for the season.

Herald the Year of the Water Rabbit at Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant in Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Toss to a bountiful year ahead with either the Fruity Yee Sang, Jellyfish Yee Sang, Fresh Salmon with Snow Pear Yee Sang or Abalone Yee Sang.

Prices range from RM98nett to RM148nett per order, depending on size.

For festive set menus, Xin is offering three types – Fortune (RM1,688nett), Happiness (RM2,088nett) and Prosperous (RM2,288nett). All are available for lunch and dinner.

The Fortune set includes Shredded Abalone Dried Scallop Soup, Hong Kong-Style Roasted Chicken, Steamed Fresh Dragon Grouper with Ginger Wine, Stir-Fried Prawn Sichuan Style and Braised Pork Knuckle with Dried Oyster and Black Moss.

This menu is not available on Jan 21.

This year, Xin’s special poon choy consists of pork knuckle, abalone, dried scallop, dried oyster, sea cucumber, fish maw, prawn, roasted chicken, roasted pork, mushroom, lotus root, Chinese long cabbage, white radish, yam, black moss and beancurd skin.

The poon choy is priced at RM848nett per order for dine-in and RM798nett per order for takeaway.

Also available are Waxed Meat Rice In Claypot (lap mei fan), Wok-Fried Rice With Chinese Sausage and Steamed Mixed Waxed Meat.

Portions range from small to large, and prices are from RM40nett to RM138nett per order.

Xin’s festive menu is available until Feb 5. The restaurant is closed on Jan 22.

The CNY Cake Set, priced at RM128nett per set, offers four types of all-time favourites − pineapple tart, salted egg pastry, red bean pastry and yam pastry.
