By incorporating smart multimedia systems, the new SJK (C) Heng Ee building adjacent to the present SMJK Heng Ee Bayan Baru branch in Bayan Lepas, Penang, plans to be at the forefront of digital learning.

Plans are for all classrooms to be fully digitalised and there will be a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) laboratory as well as WiFi coverage throughout the premises, said the school’s board chairman Tan Sri Alex Ooi Kee Liang.

Ooi said the smart school concept would extend beyond the classroom by incorporating management systems.

“High-tech and modern teaching aids will help create a fun and interactive learning experience in the classroom,” said Ooi, who is also Ideal Property Group executive chairman.
