Step into the shoes of the chief in heels

Combining style and capability, Anne's mission is to uplift the lives of today’s youths.

KUALA LUMPUR: It’s not every day that you meet somebody who seems to have it all down: brains, beauty, kindness and confidence. Someone who oversees a multitude of operations daily and still has time to be a doting mother-of-three without breaking a sweat.

Yet, Anne Rajasaikaran pulls it all off with poised flair in bold heels and even bolder hair.

But it’s her dedication to uplifting the lives of today’s youths that truly makes her shine and in her role as the president and chief executive officer of Imperium International College, she’s seeing to an initiative that’s close to her heart: fortifying a new generation of future leaders and world changers.

She started her journey into philanthropy when she was appointed the principal officer of The Budimas Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the welfare and the well-being of orphans and underprivileged children in Malaysia.

After a decade of leading the foundation to its current acclaim, she was given the unique opportunity to mould the nation’s young minds, positioning her as the leading role under the Edumaax group, where she oversees St John’s International School, Pusat Tuisyen Kasthuri and Imperium International College.

The female entrepreneur’s leadership skills have also been essential in the development of St John’s and its prosperous growth. Thanks to her strong vision and commitment to excellence, the school has experienced an increased number of students joining the institute.

Anne’s motivation to ensure that her students grow to become leaders themselves doesn’t just stop at their education; it’s about understanding their struggles and going on this journey of success with them.

“A proper education is a commodity not many can afford, and it’s crucial that they are given every opportunity to succeed.”

Anne knows first-hand how life-changing a good education can be for a child from her work in Budimas, seeing countless children given the foundation to build a better future for themselves.

“It’s why I do this.”

Her initiatives and efforts were clearly evident during a special event that was recently held at Imperium College, aimed at creating awareness of the college’s 17 sustainable development goals (SDG) to the students of SMK Puteri Titiwangsa.

The main highlight of the event saw Anne speak on gender equality and women empowerment, where she touched on her inspirations, how she got to where she is today and the responsibilities of being a figure of feminism.

Anne’s leadership and strive has received various recognitions such as the Asian Women Leader award by World Women Leadership Congress Presents Asia’s Woman Leaders and McM Rising Star Awards for Education & CSR Leader of the Year Category in 2022.

Her determination, talent and beauty have recently earned her the crown at the Mrs Malaysia International Global 2022, a platform empowering married women to reach for the stars while demonstrating their beauty and talent. She will go on to represent Malaysia in the Mrs International Global 2022/2023 World Final next January, alongside other participants worldwide. An achievement that is and should be an inspiration to all women.

Through her passion for learning, Anne Rajasaikaran has fashioned an illustrious career as a woman in business, championing educational equality for children of all ages in every endeavour no matter the hurdles.
