IPTV provider Unifi TV organised a familiarisation tour to allow the public to sample its robust range of content.

Visitors got a taste of Unifi TV’s wide range of programming through off-screen digital experiences, games and activities during the three-day Extraordinary Tour in Gurney Plaza, George Town.

Potential subscribers went from booth to booth to check out offerings from its many channels and streaming apps, including Disney+ Hotstar, Warner TV and Boomerang, BBC, Lionsgate Play, beIN SPORTS, iQIYI, and WeTV.

Unifi TV head Ho Hock Doong said the company had significantly expanded its stable this year and pledged to constantly add new content.

“We provide great entertainment at a very affordable and value-for- money price point,” he said.

Currently, Unifi TV has 24 free and 48 premium channels, plus 17 streaming apps.

Packages start at RM30 a month and include a free Android TV box that can be used with non-smart TVs.

Notably, users also have the flexibility to switch between streaming apps as many times as they want at no additional cost.

“After a few months, you might have watched everything on a particular app. All you have to do is log on to the website and switch apps.

“Then watch to your heart’s content until you feel like switching again. No other platform offers this,” Ho said at the event launch.

TM chief marketing officer Shanti Jusnita Johari said the tour celebrated the company passing its three-million subscriber milestone and reflects its commitment to accelerate digital inclusivity and support the country’s Jendela (Jalinan Digital Negara) aspirations.

“For many years, Unifi was known for its broadband services. But our convergence into mobile and TV puts us in a market-leading position.

“We will continue to democratise Internet and digital content for all Malaysians,” Shanti added.

During the event in George Town, a giant screen showcasing all Unifi TV’s content was unveiled.

The reveal took place simultaneously at four other locations in the Klang Valley – Taman Tasik Permai-suri, Berjaya Times Square, Setia City Mall and Avenue K mall.

The Extraordinary Tour will head to the country’s central and southern regions in the coming months.

From now until Jan 1, Unifi TV is offering existing customers free viewing of 72 channels, discounts of up to 50% for pay-per-view movies and free trials of streaming apps.

You can also subscribe to the Ultimate Pack for RM60.

Unifi is also offering free 5G data for all unlimited Unifi Mobile plans.
