MCA duo spreading Deepavali joy to the poor

TO SPREAD happiness ahead of the upcoming Deepavali festival, Nibong Tebal MCA chief Tan Cheng Liang and Jawi MCA coordinator Dr Wong Kok Fye gave away food hampers to B40 families in Jawi.

Tan said in a speech at the event that Wong had helped more than 400 people to obtain My Tenang coverage, which is a government initiative to ease the financial burden of the needy in the event of an accidental injury.
