THE world is undergoing a digital transformation, yet finding quality smart devices and components for upgrading of plants can still be a challenge.
Among the leading global brands for machine tools are Taiwanese ones.
In recent years, in response to the pressing needs of Industry 4.0, Taiwan’s machine tool industry has been providing high-end machines and spare parts for industries such as electronics, mechanical equipment, automobile, medical equipment and aerospace.
Services provided range from stand-alone machines and networked machines to smart applications in a smart factory.
Recently, five brands of smart machine tools and spare parts represented Taiwan at the Metaltech 2022 hybrid expo at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur, from June 22 to 25, according to a statement by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade.
The five brands included Shin-Yain, a highly reputed tool-related parts manufacturer in South-East Asia that has won numerous national awards in Taiwan.
Earth-Chain, the supplier of one of the most comprehensive range of magnetic machining application in the world that is highly sought after by smart factories, was also among the five brands.
Jainnher’s Centerless Grinder Machine Company, Taiwan’s leading professional high-precision grinding manufacturer, was also represented.
Shieh Yih (Seyi), a leading international brand of medium and large servo presses, and Detron, which is well-known for its high-precision rotary table, were among the representatives.
In addition to the virtual 3D exhibition, a hybrid product launch and business matching was held on June 23 at the Metaltech 2022 exhibition site.
At the product launch site, visitors were able to access an AI system which was used to answer 80% of enquiries, thereby eliminating any complicated communication process.
