A COFFEESHOP owner in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, is in hot water with the authorities for blocking the five-foot way outside his shop with potted plants to deter snatch thieves.

Angry residents had written to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and StarMetro complaining that the move was endangering pedestrians at the Jalil Link commercial centre.
