Slope condition at KL Forest Eco Park worsens due to continuous rain

THE condition of the slope at Kuala Lumpur Forest Eco Park near the Jalan Raja Chulan stretch seemed to have worsened due to incessant rain in the city.

Following a landslide that had happened on Dec 19, a larger part of the slope was exposed on Sunday (Jan 2).

Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur Forestry Department director Mohd Hafiz Hamzah said remedial works had been carried out by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Public Works Department.

“Works are still ongoing as we still found earth movement on the slope.

“Slope strengthening works will continue on Monday (Jan 3), as we hope to open up the forest reserve to the public by the end of January,” he said.
