Low-risk businesses can renew licences online via MPS portal

BUSINESS owners under the purview of Selayang Municipal Council can now renew, pay and print their business licences for next year using the MyMPS portal.

This initiative by MPS to allow online renewal of business licences was to enable business owners and operators to get the task done at any time, without a need to be physically present at council counters, said MPS corporate communications director Mohamad Zin Masoad in a statement.

“This option is available only to businesses categorised as low risk.

“Renewal and payment must be done before Dec 31 to avoid a late processing fee of an additional 10% on the total licence activity,” he added.

A business licence holder can visit lesendigital.mps.gov.my to update their information, make their payment and print the copy via mymps.mps.gov.my

“For those who hold licences for liquor/ alcohol, advertising visuals/ billboards, factory, massage parlour/ reflexology centre, cybercafe, hotel, used goods and quarry operations, payment can be done through MyMPS and the licence has to be collected from MPS’ Licensing Department office.”
