10 charity homes benefit from association’s initiative with tech store

Pusat Jagaan Ebenezer Home in Shah Alam, a beneficiary of the aid distribution campaign, received groceries and two wheelchairs.

AID distribution to five old folks homes, two children homes and three centres for the disabled are among the initiatives undertaken by Great Heart Charity Association (GHCA) during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The aid sponsored by Taiwan Excellence consisted of 10 wheelchairs and RM20,000 worth of groceries, glucose meters, and blood pressure devices that amounted to RM30,500.

A total of 368 residents from the selected welfare homes benefited from this generosity.

The said donation was provided to GHCA following the success of the “Elevate Your Body Game” digital campaign held by Taiwan Excellence early this month.

The main objective of the collaboration was to provide the welfare homes with enough food, household supplies and necessities during the pandemic.

The association and volunteers observed strict standard operating procedures during the distribution, including obtaining prior approval from relevant authorities.
