THE closure of Jelutong Market and a few other premises in Penang is in line with the state government’s efforts of prioritising public health and security in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
State housing, local government, and town and country planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said the closures were necessary to prevent further spreading of the coronavirus.
