The Penang Island City Council has turned part of Lorong Air Terjun into a one-way street effective Feb 20 for a trial period of three months. The stretch is between the Lorong Air Terjun-Gottlieb Road junction and the Lorong Air Terjun-Mount Erskine Estate junction. It is meant to reduce congestion, streamline traffic flow and reduce conflicts and traffic disruption in the area. Penang Island City Council has started parking fee collection and enforcement action at Free Industrial Zones 1,2, 3 and 4, Bayan Lepas Industrial Park and Technoplex from 8am to 6pm on Mondays to Saturdays. Parking is free on Sundays and public holidays. Parking charges are 80 sen per hour and 40 sen for half an hour. Payment can be done via the Penang Smart Parking app on an hourly, daily or monthly basis. The app can be downloaded from Google Play Store or App Store.


MCA Penang is holding a series of mental health workshops over the four Saturdays in March (7,14,21 and 28) from 1pm to 5.30pm at the Faith Room in YMCA Penang. SJKT Jalan Sungai is organising a food fair at Silver Jubilee Hall, Sungai Dua, on March 14 from 10am to 4pm to raise funds for children from B40 families.
