Wastewater company gets new CEO


Narendran comes with over 21 years of relevant experience.

Narendran Maniam has been appointed Indah Water Konsortium’s (IWK) new chief executive officer effective Aug 19.

Narendran has over 21 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, planning of water and wastewater infrastructure, and operations of wastewater services.

He had previously served in IWK from 1998 to 2005 as planning engineer and planning manager.

Following that, he was attached to the Ranhill Group of Companies as chief executive officer in Ranhill Water Technologies Sdn Bhd.

He returns to IWK to lead the wastewater company with aspirations of maintaining an efficient sewerage system to preserve the environment and public health for all Malaysians to enjoy.

Narendran has a master’s degree in Engineering (Civil Environmental) and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Technologi Malaysia.
