The hundreds who gathered around the outlet in Gurney Plaza wasted no time in snapping photos once the star, better known as Chilam, emerged.
Looking dapper in a grey suit, he told the crowd he had been looking forward to returning to the island after shooting a movie here a few years ago.
“It was a memorable experience for me with all the delicious food, including durians,” Chilam said at the recent event.
His appearance was the highlight of TSL’s ‘The Expressions of Love’ private party held to appreciate loyal customers and showcase its latest exquisite collections.
He joined in a special in-store workshop titled ‘The Art of TSL - Discover the Exquisite TSL Craftsmanship’ led by a master artisan.
Crowds watched intently as he tried his hand at Pave Diamond setting, showing how the Eternity Ring from The Signature Collection is made.
Chilam later mused, “Love is something that we cherish and commit ourselves to. Being in an everlasting relationship is to learn how to love and support each other through thick and thin.
“Everyone has their own unique way of expressing love and romance, but for me, it is through music and giving something precious to someone I treasure.”
Chilam revealed that he gifted his beloved wife Anita Yuen a dragon diamond necklace from TSL’s 12 Treasures range as it symbolised strength and luck.
For that weekend, the store also featured some of TSL’s most treasured and prized pieces, worth over HK$150mil (RM80mil).
It included the Rare Opal, Tourmaline and Paraiba Tourmaline, Heritage and Estelle collections which captivated guests with their sparkling brilliance.
TSL Jewellery deputy CEO Tommy Tse said that being a Hong Kong brand, they wanted to bring a Hong Kong icon here, where TVB dramas are quite popular.
Chairman and CEO Annie Yau Tse said that Chilam, an icon of love and a loyal family man, was the personification of TSL’s values.
“The TSL motto is ‘The Artisan of Love’. But we also take pride in our trendsetting craftsmanship, producing jewellery with unique designs,” Yau added.
Throughout the night, models dressed in local designer Yuleza’s pieces, also paraded highlight pieces from various collections.
Also present for the event were TSL’s COO Victor Wong, CapitaLand Retail Malaysia general manager of mall management (northern region) Selina Ng and Gurney Plaza centre manager Peter Chan.
