WITH 23 outlets in the Klang Valley and two in Johor, HeroMarket has opened its first business outlet in Penang, offering locals another choice of retail supermarket shopping experience.

Penang shoppers will now have low-priced offerings of groceries, fresh market, bakery as well as halal and non-halal and liquor products at All Seasons Place.

HeroMarket director Francis Teng said they invested about RM5mil into the supermarket, which offers ‘direct from farm’ goods.

“This market is important to us because the supermarket industry here is beginning to expand and we want to take full opportunity of the growing economic prosperity of Penang.

“The Penang government has done a lot to promote trade and tourism and we are happy to be participating in this business.

“We chose All Seasons Place because of its strategic location in a densely populated area,” he said during the recent openingceremony at All Seasons Place in Bandar Baru Ayer Itam.

HeroMarket also launched their special concept store named NOKO on Level 1.

NOKO is the first outlet in Malaysia to come with the concept store and aims to offer affordable items to their customers.

The concept of NOKO is also very relatable to the people of the northern region as the name was taken literally from the Hokkien dialect for RM2.

Belleview Group managing director Datuk Sonny Ho also applauded the vision of HeroMarket who sees beyond earning through business but helping the locals grow theirs as well.

“Having HeroMarket here in All Seasons Place will be a plus point for Penang as we can now work together in promoting our local goods and raising the household incomes through business ventures andcollaborative marketing offered by HeroMarket,” he said.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said having HeroMarket here in Penang was something everybody should be proud of.

“I’m sure this investment will benefit not just the people of Ayer Itam, but also Penangites and folk in the northern region,” he said.

To celebrate their first venture in Penang, HeroMarket is offering free application of membership card from now until Dec 31.

The membership card offers are one of the best in retail marketing as each purchase of RM2 will earn 1 point. Accumulation of 800 points will entitle the cardholder to a RM10 HeroMarket cash voucher.
