MELAKA: A hotelier and a Melaka executive councillor have come to the aid of ex-journalist Jason Gerald John and will help raise funds for his medical treatment.

John, who had his left leg amputated last month, has been suffering from acute diabetes for several years now, landing him in hospital regularly.
