KUCHING: Japanese Encephalitis (JE) is endemic in Sarawak but the situation is being closely monitored by the authorities, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah told Bernama.
The Health Ministry and the Sarawak Health Department were keeping a close watch, he said, adding that for the period between January and June 23, there were a five reported JE cases in the state.
