TAMAN Kota Nelayan’s shabby houses have long been the only shelter for fishermen plying their trade along the Kuala Kedah jetty, right across the river.

In the next few years, however, they can look forward to better homes as the state government plans to collaborate with a private developer to build modern apartments for the community.
