NATIONAL Transplant Resource Centre says that only about 400,000 Malaysians are registered as organ donors, which is a mere 1.3% of the country’s 30 million population.
The disappointing figure has inspired Rotary International District 3300 governor Dr Manohur Kurup to not only take on the task of promoting organ donation awareness but also to increase the number of donors in Malaysia as his signature project for his 2017/18 term.
