Proactive measures needed: Poor maintenance plagues stadiums managed by local authorities in Selangor.

THE sports fraternity wants the Selangor government to consider creating a Sports Maintenance Unit (SMU) at local councils for the maintenance of all public sports facilities.

Selangor School Sports Council technical and development hockey and coaching chairman Mohd Azlan said council-run sports facilities were built using ratepayers’ money, so it was important for them to be properly maintained.
