Stratospheric bar with skyline view

There are live band performances at SkyBar from Thursdays to Saturdays.

The scenic cityscape, with its majestic view of the PETRONAS Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur skyline, is a sight to behold when dining at SkyBar, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

After a thoughtful transformation, SkyBar features a contemporary design that highlights a cosy, comfortable atmosphere.

As guests enter the SkyBar, they see a new vertical garden on Level 33 that adds an elegant touch of natural beauty.

Hotel guests can unwind at the pool in the middle of the SkyBar until 7pm when the night’s entertainment takes over the pool deck.

SkyBar now features a state-of-the-art K-array immersive sound system, endorsed by French deejay and record producer David Guetta, offering crystal-clear, high-fidelity audio that surrounds the room.

Every Wednesday, the deck features high-energy DJ sets, followed by live bands bringing the groove from Thursdays to Saturdays.

“SkyBar has always been more than a rooftop venue – it’s a place where guests come to celebrate moments, connections and the energy of Kuala Lumpur.

“This transformation elevates every touchpoint of the experience while honouring the legacy that makes SkyBar iconic,” said Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur general manager Sachin Tyagi.

Mixology takes centre stage with the launch of the Spirits of Kuala Lumpur cocktail series – a tribute to the city’s most iconic districts.

The creatively crafted drinks reflect the identity of Kuala Lumpur’s various districts, from the bustling streets of Chow Kit to the cultural heart of Brickfields.

For example, the Jazzy Boozy Boogie – mixed with whiskey, Martini Rosso, Amaretto and hazelnut syrup – is a tribute to Chow Kit in the 1960s and ’70s.

Its spirit-forward combination gives a classic nod to the smoky, late-night rhythm and jazz bars that later gave way to the vibrant markets of today.

The sweet, nutty finish complements the whiskey’s earthy notes, while an orange peel twist releases a mist of aromatics, making it delightful.

Meanwhile, the Red Lantern Remedy, crafted with gin, lemongrass syrup, lychee puree and fresh lemon juice, is a tribute to Petaling Street.

It highlights herbs and ingredients used in traditional apothecaries in the heart of Chinatown back in the day.

The cocktail has sweet notes that evoke old Petaling Street nostalgia, with a hint of sourness from the lemon juice.

The Last Lockdown is aptly named after Pudu Jail, which stood as a stark reminder of Kuala Lumpur’s colonial past.

Mixed with bourbon, tequila, Amaretto, honey, ginger syrup and fresh lemon juice, the drink offers a hint of mild honey and nectar fragrance.

Coffee lovers will find the CTRL + Kopi cocktail alluring. It encapsulates the evolving cafe culture in the city.

Mixed with tequila, coffee liqueur, palm sugar, coconut puree, espresso and milk, the creamy drink is a delight with a distinctive coffee aftertaste.

Coffee beans placed on the foamy cap add a fun, crunchy bite.

Another drink to try is Skybar Superstars, a pair of gin cocktails inspired by the Twin Towers.

The one with a bluish hue, named Gent, comes with infused gin, elderflower liqueur and fresh lemon juice while the one with a pinkish hue, Lady, is mixed with fusion liqueur, elderflower liqueur, and sparkling water.

Complementing the cocktails is a refined food and beverage menu featuring shareable favourites, signature mains, pizza, pasta and indulgent desserts.

The Skybar Tub, the signature tasting bucket, includes six chicken wings, six crispy prawn tempura, six mixed satay skewers, criss-cut fries and chicken poppers served with tartar sauce, chilli sauce and peanut sauce.

Other snacks, including the calamari rings, sausage and ikan bilis (anchovies), pair well with the libations too.
