IT IS interesting that Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg, in his speech at the state-level National Day parade, focused on the new economic initiatives designed to boost Sarawak’s development by leaps and bounds.

He spoke at length on transforming the economy through digital technology, upgrading Internet infrastructure and encouraging innovation so that the state would no longer be left behind but leapfrog into the digital era.
