Fiesta celebrates SibuJaya residents

SIBUJAYA: Residents of this booming township is holding a 10-day Fiesta SibuJaya.

The event, launched by community leader Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce yesterday, will feature plenty of business activities, fun and entertainment.

The event is organised by SibuJaya developer Distrepark Sdn Bhd.

Distrepark senior manager Eddy Puah said the event was timed to take advantage of the school holidays.

“The event is mainly to celebrate the pioneering spirit of SibuJaya residents who were impetus to the growth of this township,” he said.

With over 6,000 houses and a population of about 30,000 people, SibuJaya has become a shopping and leisure focal point for suburban folk in the central region of Sarawak.

“With the support of our partners and the Sibu Rural District Council, we hope to be able to bring fun as well as business activities to the people,” Puah said.

The organiser urged Sibu denizens to take this opportunity to visit the township.

“Come explore residential and commercial opportunities with us in SibuJaya.

“You will be amazed at how fast this township has grown,” he said.
