3 ART EXHIBITION

Suspending Light Within Photography exhibition, which will feature works by four photographers - Hilda Vandermeulen, Alan Dougans, Brett Shields and Fai Suk Kow – starts today at Artemis Art, Publika, Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free. The opening reception will be from 2.30pm to 6pm today. Tomorrow, it will be open from noon to 6pm. The exhibition ends on Aug 22. 4 BOOKFEST AND ART

This weekend, KL Alternative Bookfest (KLAB) 2017 and Art For Grabs invites all storytellers and art lovers to Publika Shopping Gallery to take part in a line-up of activities this weekend. There will be 80 booths featuring indie publishers and contemporary craftmakers, among others. Art For Grabsis back to inspire everyone to explore our creativity, learn about our rights, and find our inner superheroes. It will be held this weekend, from noon to 8pm, at Ground Floor, The School, Jaya One, Petaling Jaya.

5 CHORAL CONCERT

The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra will present a choral concert this weekend, collaborating with the Choir of Gonville & Caius, Cambridge. Catch the choir, one of the UK’s leading collegiate choirs, at 8.30pm tonight or at 3pm tomorrow at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, KLCC. The concerts will be conducted by Geoffrey Webber. Shah Alam Municipal Council is raising awareness of dengue through its Search and Destroy Aedes in 10 Minutes Information Centre (Seda-10 IC) bus that is making its rounds in the city. Mini Malaysia will be organising Minifest 2017, a family day out at Desa Park City, Kuala Lumpur, from 3pm to 10pm tomorrow. Minifest 2017 is the first Mini-styled marketplace where vendors and owners will sell fashion, accessories and lifestyle items from the boot of Mini vehicles.
