THE first forum on empowering Hindu temples is setting its sights on bringing a memorandum to the Prime Minister to set up a dedicated unit to address the challenges faced by temples.
This unit will be tasked with vetting and releasing government grants to deserving temples and will implement various empowerment and training initiatives at the temples and for temple officials.
