School combines three celebrations to highlight unity in diversity

JOHOR BARU: A secondary school organised three different events simultaneously to promote unity and togetherness among its multiracial students and staff.

SMK Dato Jaafar celebrated Maulidur Rasul or Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, Chinese New Year and Ponggal on the same day to create a better understanding of the different practices observed by Malaysians from different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
