Simulating a spill to improve preparedness

JOHOR BARU: Traffic came to a standstill along Persiaran Tanjung Langsat as a hazardous materials unit (HMU) crew in protective suits worked furiously to contain a “chemical spill” following an “accident” involving several vehicles.

Anxious onlookers gathered near the crash of three vehicles – a four-tonne cargo tanker, a lorry transporting hazardous chemicals and a motorcycle – that occurred when the tanker failed to stop at a junction in Pasir Gudang.
