Waste separation programme hits a snag

The illegal dumpsite at Kampung Baru Senai.

JOHOR BARU: Since the implementation of the waste segregation at source programme on June 1, the illegal dumpsite issue in Senai town has not only remained unresolved but has worsened.

Chen Fen Lim, 55, who has been running his business selling fish since a couple of years ago, said that so far he has not received any rubbish bin from the authorities and that he would keep all his waste and throw it at the nearby wet market to avoid problems.
