PULAU Betong assemblyman Muhammad Farid Saad said Penang should utilise the Local Government Fee imposed on all hotel guests in Penang to upgrade its tourism spots instead of spending them on promotion.
He suggested the fees collected could be spent on home stay development as well as to beautify tourism sites and develop more tourism products.
