River clean-up returns More than 200 volunteers will be getting the chance to learn what it takes to keep rivers clean and its importance during a river-cleaning programme under the “Do Good, Volunteer” initiative. Similar to last year, this year’s programme is a half-day exercise that involves river cleaning, planting wetland plants, pollution mapping and a site visit to a nearby IWK sewage treatment plant. The river clean-up will take place at Sungai Kinta, Ipoh on Jan 30.
