JOHOR BARU: The drop in the value of the ringgit has led to an increase in the demand for Mandarin oranges in Johor as Singaporeans and those working across the border are snapping up boxes of the Chinese New Year favourite here.
State Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumerism council chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said they expect to see a 10% increase in the demand this year as the festive celebration draws nearer.
