Out to spread palliative care

A group of Taiwanese cyclists visited the centre to motivate patients at the Perak Palliative Care Society in Ipoh.

IN CONJUNCTION with the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2015, the Perak Palliative Care Society (PPCS) is encouraging the referral of patients in need of palliative care to their home care services.

PPCS director Datuk Dr Ziaudin Ahamed Abdul Kareem said although patients are preferably referred by medical practitioners, patients or family can register themselves if they think they fit the palliative-care definition.
